[ARCHIVED] Telegraph Fire

The following areas are under current evacuation orders: Jenkin’s Hill to Big Grizzly.

The following areas are being issued a pre-evacuation advisement: The North side of s/r 49 from s/r 140 and 49 North intersection, s/r 140 North Areas through the Midpines areas continuing to the Briceburg area and the Bear Valley Proper. Also, the Greeley Hill area.

We are not currently evacuating residents in this area at this time, however, if you reside in the
pre-evacuation advisement area, please prepare to evacuate upon notice and be prepared to leave your residence immediately upon notice by emergency services.

Evacuations from this area will be dictated by fire movement and behavior.
If you reside in the pre-evacuation notice area and have special needs, such as large or small animal needs, medical needs, or transportation needs, please report this to sheriff officers in the area, or phone the sheriff’s dispatch center at 209.966.3615.

Please be reminded that if you have animals housed in the animal evacuation center at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds, Animal Control personnel are checking on your animals but
owners need to feed and water their animals. Some feed has been donated but will need to be subsidized by animal owners to ensure proper feeding. Due to the increased emergency vehicle traffic at the Fairgrounds, pet owners are being asked to limit their visits to the Fairgrounds between 12pm and 6pm. Citizens are also being requested to keep their children under close
supervision.
