Have questions? Come to the annual Senior Exposition and Health Fair where various Providers of Senior Services offer a forum where seniors, family members, caregivers and other community residents have an opportunity to gather information regarding services available to them.

Where do I go for help? What options are available to me if my spouse needs to go into a Skilled Nursing Facility? My health is failing, what services and programs are available to ensure I can live in my home independently and safe? I am no longer able to drive, what’s going to happen to me now?

Here to assist you with questions and concerns are County and Government Officials, County Departments, Area 12 Agency on Aging, John C. Fremont Hospital and other Service Providers with the following:

Health Care Issues – Nutritional Food Programs - Emergency Services
Respite Care - In Home Help - Energy Assistance -Public and Medical Transportation - Legal Assistance – Independent Living - Board & Care Skilled Nursing – Ombudsman -HICAP (Medicare/Insurance Issues) Health Services - Vital Signs with Blood Testing and Pressure Checks

A special “Thanks” to the Mariposa Lions Club for helping cook, VFW for donation to offset the cost of Roast Beef lunch, Xi Phi Upsilon Sorority for set-up, serving and clean up, John C. Freemont Hospital for health related screenings, the Commission on Aging and the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors for Co-Sponsoring.

May is senior awareness month with this years motto: “Age Strong, Live Long”
