[ARCHIVED] Yosemite West Water Emergency Update

April 24, 2023

RE: Yosemite West Update

The contractor is still continuing to work diligently to repair the roadway and is making progress in providing access for the pipe contractor to reach the break area. However, the snow is melting faster due to rising temperatures, which makes the task more difficult. Please continue to CONSERVE WATER.

The BOIL WATER NOTICE issued on April 23, 2023, REMAINS IN EFFECT. Due to the heightened risk of contamination and compromised sanitation, Mariposa County urges all vacation rental properties in Yosemite West to remain vacated until repairs to the water main have been completed.

Our team will continue to make every effort to ensure that the residents of Yosemite West have access to water during this time. Our Public Works Department staff will continue to deliver bottled drinking water and provide non-potable water for the residents. The distribution site for bottled drinking water, non-potable water, and buckets with lids is on Henness Circle. From the intersection of Henness Ridge Rd and Henness Circle (mail boxes), proceed on Henness Circle (uphill) for 0.1 miles. The distribution site is on the left. Please do not block traffic.

Mariposa County Public Works is working to restore the water service as quickly as possible and will provide updates as more information becomes available. Additional details on what to do during a boil water notice may be found at:

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this time.
