As the result of a grant award from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)/Department of Housing & Community Development (HCD) from the State of California, Mariposa County is administering a third round of business relief grants available to support local small businesses that have been impacted by the novel coronavirus pandemic. The program will award 3 tiers (low, medium and high) of business relief grants up to $15,000 to be used to recoup revenue loss due to Covid-19. CDBG has set a criteria for the funding:

-All applicants must be hire one full-time low-to-moderate income (LMI) employee.

-Businesses that received funding in Round 2 are ineligible.

-Available to for-profit organizations only.

Businesses which opened in 2020 are still eligible for funding. Must provide adequate documentation on job retention/ job creation, especially that jobs would not be retained, but for this assistance. Each business creates/ retains at least 1 FTE and 51% of jobs created/ retained are held by or made available to LMI individuals.
