Where do I go for help? What options are available to me if my spouse needs to go into a Skilled Nursing Facility? My health is failing, what do I need to do to be able to maintain a level of independence and still be safe in my own home? I need help paying the P. G. & E bill. As I age I can’t physically clean my home, who will help me? My doctor says I need to eat healthier nutritional meals. What programs are available?
Have questions? Come to the annual Senior Exposition and Health Fair on Friday, May 1st from 10:00am till 1:00pm at the Mariposa Fairgrounds. Various Providers of Senior Services will be there to provide a forum where seniors, family members, caregiver and other community residents have an opportunity to gather information regarding services available to them.
A lunch will be served at 12:00 noon with the senior suggested donation of $5.00 and $10.00 for non-seniors.
A special “Thanks” goes to the Mariposa Lions Club for helping the cooks with lunch, the VFW for donation to offset the cost, Xi Phi Upsilon Sorority for set-up, serving and cleaning up, Co-Sponsors John C. Freemont Hospital and the Commission on Aging, and to the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors for all their support.
