[ARCHIVED] Coulterville Merchants Host Scavenger Hunt October 15th

Join us Saturday, October 15th. “Protect Your Family From Fire” is this year’s theme for Fire Prevention Week. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Coulterville Station 26 at the corner of Hwy 49/132. The following agencies will be on hand to share their knowledge about fire safety; Mariposa County Master Gardeners, Fire Safe Council, CalFire, Sheriff’s/SCOPE and Mariposa County Fire.
This year’s event will also include a “Fire Safety Scavenger Hunt.”
Coulterville businesses will join forces to educate the community in the importance of fire safety. To date the following businesses have agreed to participate in this important community event. Thank you to Hotel Jeffery, Northern Mariposa County History Center, Haigh Saloon Claim Jumpers, Coulterville T-shirts and More, Louie Bickford’s Trading Post, Nina’s Flowers, Northern Mariposa County Visitor’s Center, Mary Lou’s Cup of Brew, Coulterville General Store, Rose Cottage and Coulter Café.
Pick up your game playing card at Station 26 and get ready to comb the town looking for answers. Be prepared to answer safety questions, demonstrate safety procedures for various scenarios; go hunting for possible safety hazards and more. All in the name of fun while learning valuable safety lessons that can be shared to help protect your family from fire. Parent’s this is a great way for you to support and encourage fire safety with your children. They know more than you think and take pride in sharing that knowledge with you.
