2018 State Sponsored Residential Tire Event

Free tire collection events are usually held once or twice a year, depending on funding availability.


April 27th 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Don Pedro Transfer Station 9729 Merced Falls Rd., La Grange

April 28th 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Coulterville Transfer Station Mary Harrison Mine Rd., Coulterville

  May 23rd 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. -  Mariposa County Landfill 5593 Hwy 49 North

What are the limitations?

  • Mariposa County residents only.
  • Up to 9 tires per user per trip. (State law limits number of tires that can be transported at one time.
  • Light truck and passenger vehicle tires without rims accepted.
  • NO industrial, farming, or heavy equipment tires.
  • Disposal is not available for tire dealers or other businesses.

Funding for this program is limited. The County reserves the right to stop accepting tires for free disposal without notice.
