1. When does the Board of Supervisors meet?

Regular meetings are scheduled for the first four Tuesdays of every month, beginning at 9:00 AM. Occasionally, special meetings are called as needed. Please refer to our Board meeting schedule for specific dates.

2. Where does the Board of Supervisors meet?

Unless publicized differently, the Board of Supervisors meets in the Mariposa County Government Center Chambers, located at 5100 Bullion Street, Mariposa, California.

3. Where do I find the Board Agendas?

Board agendas are finalized and posted no less than 72 hours before each meeting. A printed copy is posted in the outdoor display case at the Mariposa County Government Center, located at 5100 Bullion Street, Mariposa, California.

4. Who is the Board Chair?

The 2013 Board Chair is Lee Stetson, District I.

5. Who Represents me on the Board of Supervisors?

The Board of Supervisors is comprised of five members, each representing a specific constituency within the county.
To determine your district you may check this map; search by inputting your complete address here; call the Registrar of Voters at (209) 966-2207; or call the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors office at (209) 966-3222 for assistance.

6. How do I contact a Board member?

You may call the main number which is (209) 966-3222, and request to speak to your supervisor. Alternately, individual contact information is listed for each supervisor on their webpage. To find that information, go to the Meet the Board of Supervisors page; scroll down below the photo and click on the name of your Supervisor.

7. How do I address the Board of Supervisors on a matter not listed on the Agenda?

You can appear at any regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors and speak during the "Public Presentation" portion of the meeting. (Speakers are limited to Five Minutes.)

8. How do I place an item on the Agenda?

Citizens wishing to schedule matters for Board consideration, or to appear before the Board, must contact the Clerk of the Board in writing stating the action requested. Appropriate requests will be scheduled before the Board as time allows. The deadline for submission of written materials is Friday prior to noon, 11 days in advance of the meeting. An original of all supporting materials must be submitted.

10. How can I get a copy of the recording of a meeting or hearing?

Recordings for meetings after February 7, 2012 can be downloaded from here. (Click on the Windows icon to the far right of the required meeting date.)
Recordings for meetings earlier than that must be requested from the Clerk of the Board's Office.

11. Is there a charge for obtaining copies of the Board of Supervisors' records?

Yes, the charge is thirty cents for the first page, and twenty cents for each page after.

12. How can I get a copy of a Resolution or an Agreement the Board adopted?
