Department Responsibilities

The services provided by the Human Resources Department are:

  • Administration of, and guidance to, operating departments in labor and employee relations
  • Administration of the County’s risk management program
  • Conducting and administering the County’s recruitment and selection program
  • Develop, administer, and conduct Countywide training programs
  • Ensure County compliance with applicable labor, benefit, medical, and safety laws and regulations
  • Provide oversight of the County's classification and compensation system
  • Maintaining personnel records
