CAO Welcome Letter
Dear Employee:
Congratulations on your new position with Mariposa County! We’re delighted to have you on our team and hope you are excited to be here. As local government employees, the work we do matters. We’re here to build thriving, scenic, historic, and culturally vibrant rural communities—from Fish Camp to Don Pedro and Catheys Valley to El Portal. We are tasked with improving the quality of life in Mariposa County through active community engagement and the efficient delivery of outstanding public services.
Thank you for accepting our offer to join us in this important work. Much of what we do can only be done by county government and we can only do it with your help. Throughout your service to our community, five core values will help guide you and your decisions:
Collaboration – We strive to partner in our community and lead in our state.
Integrity – We will do what is moral, ethical, legal, honest, fair, equitable, and humane.
Sustainability – We meet the needs of the present without compromising future generations.
Transparency – We appreciate openness, welcome accountability, and ensure public access.
Excellence – We seek results that are effective, efficient, equitable, and community-focused.
Just as we are expected to be there for our community, the Mariposa County team is committed to being there for you when you need us. This is what makes us #MariposaStrong despite whatever challenges are thrown our way. Please feel free to reach out to your supervisor, department head, or the Human Resources team when you need support. There are so many resources available to help you succeed and we are your biggest fans.
Thanks, again, for joining our team. We’re excited to see how your skills and talents will better our community. We hope you find the meaning and joy that we have found in service to the people of Mariposa.
My best,
Dallin Kimble
Mariposa County Administrative Officer
