LONGEVITY PAY
All regular employees under SEIU & MCMCO hired on/after July 1, 1996 will receive an additional annual $600 to be paid on a monthly basis once they reach ten (10) years of continuous service. For 15 years of continuous service, the employee's monthly pay will increase to $850. For twenty (20) years of continuous service, the employee's monthly pay will increase to $1,100. And, for twenty-five (25) years of continuous service, the employee's monthly pay will increase to $1,500.
All regular employees under DSA & SMA will receive a 3% increase on their salary to be paid on a monthly basis once they reach ten (10) years of continuous service. For fifteen (15) years of continuous service, the employee's monthly pay will increase to 3%. And, for twenty (20) years of continuous service, the employee's monthly pay will increase to 3%.
VACATION CASH OUT
Each year SEIU employees may cash out up to eighty (80) hours of vacation time as long as they have as least two hundred forty (240) hours of vacation at time of request. MCMCO employees may cash out up to forty (40) hours with at least two hundred eighty (280) hours at time of request, to be paid in the November paycheck.
Due to IRS regulations, employees must submit an irrevocable election form by December 15 of each year prior to the year of cash out. For example, forms submitted by December 15, 2020 will be for the November 2021 cash out. Irrevocable election forms will be available with Human Resources beginning November.
**Irrevocable election forms for DSA & SMA employees will not be available until November 15, 2023 for a November 2024 cash out.
SOCIAL SECURITY/MEDICARE
Employee withholding is 6.2% for Social Security and the County’s contribution is 6.2%. Employee withholding for Medicare is 1.45% and the County matches.
SDI
Full-time employees receive SDI as a taxable benefit.
CREDIT UNION
Membership is available with Merco Credit Union and Yosemite Credit Union.
